Hi there, I’m Tait.
I didn’t used to consider myself a “data person,” until my new boss at a college-access foundation said something along the lines of “you seem like a nerd, want to take on our data so we can translate our work to the board?”
I began to wrestle with questions like “how do we know if our programs are “working?” and “what do we even mean by “working?” and “which students are we not reaching?”
I became enamored with program strategy and how teams can USE the data they have and ask big questions that lead to better outcomes for students.
I believe in building on the expertise of program staff, and making data utilization skills feel accessible for everyone.
I hold a doctorate from Tulane University in City, Culture, and Community — Sociology, a master's degree from Columbia University in Higher and Postsecondary Education, and a bachelor's degree from Millsaps College.
